How Saint/God Kabir appeared on Earth and went?

Where Was Saint KABIR Born?

There are no exact historical accounts regarding the “BIRTH” of the mystic poet Saint Kabir. Still, a few people believe that He was “BORN” in the year 1398 A.D. in the city of (Kashi) Varanasi, India. There are many versions of legends that surround His birth. One legend says that He was born to a Brahmin widow who left Baby Kabir near the Lahartara pond since she could not support His upbringing. Another legend says that Kabir was born to a Brahmin mother before she got married and due to the fear of societal rejection she left Baby Kabir at the Lahartara pond in Varanasi.

Kabir Saheb —An Introduction

You must be surprised with this heading coming up once again in the middle of the article. Well, whatever you have read above is that part of the information which is commonly available in public libraries and over the internet.

You must have noticed that in the segment where the information regarding His birth is given the word “BIRTH” has been written in blocks and it is not a typo. It is done purposely. The reason for doing so is as follows:-

Kabir Saheb did not take “BIRTH”  from any mother’s womb. He descended on earth from His eternal abode “Satlok” for the welfare of mankind. This is one of the main reasons why there are no exact historical accounts for His birth.

Almighty never takes birth from a mother’s womb and He is nurtured by maiden cow’s milk. This is clearly written in Holy Rigveda Mandal 10, Sukt 4, Mantra 3. Kabir Saheb did this spectacle and it is mentioned in the literary works of Saint Garibdas ji. As a matter of fact He descends on earth in every yuga.

In His nectar speech Kabir Saheb says;

Satyug mein Satsukrit ka tera

Treta naam Muninder mera |

Dwapar mein Karunamay kahaya,

Kalyug naam Kabir dharaya ||

In the words of Kabir Saheb, He has said that He is the Supreme Almighty;

Haad chaam lahu na Mere, Koi jaane satnaam upasi |

Taaran taran abhay pad Daata, Main hoon Kabir Avinaashi ||

Kabir Saheb Doesn’t Take Birth, He Appears- Know The Significance

There are many misconceptions in society about the birth of Kabir Saheb. Today through this article we will provide you with correct information with proof. On the basis of folk tales, some people say that He was born to a widowed Brahmin, but there is no name or any other description of that woman mentioned in history.The truth is that Kabir Saheb descended from Eternal Abode Satlok to Kashi on the Earth. A childless couple found Him as an infant on a lotus flower and they raised Him as their son. But this incident is rare of its kind and people find it difficult to believe in the absence of Eternal Knowledge. Through this article, we shall present all evidence.

Incarnation of God Kabir Saheb in the Form of an Infant in Lahartara Pond.
On Jyeshth month’s Shukla Poornamasi (Full-Moon) Vikrami Sawant 1455 (AD 1398) Monday at the time of Brahma Muhurta (which is about one and a half hours before sunrise) a childless weaver couple like everyday were going to take a bath at Lahartara pond outside Kashi city. On the way, Neema(women) was praying to Lord Shankar to bless her with a child. She started crying bitterly.

Neeru(men) consoled her and said that the child was not in their destiny, otherwise Lord Shiva would have surely been blessed with one. Neeru’s eyes were also filled with tears. They reached the Lahartara pond where Neema took a bath first, later Neeru entered the pond to take a bath. The darkness of dawn soon turned into light. Neema changed her clothes and went back to the pond to wash wet clothes.

Neema Saw a Baby on a Lotus Flower

Suddenly Neema’s eyes fell on a lotus flower, in which something was moving.  First, Neema thought that there is a snake sitting on a lotus flower, with raised hood and is shaking it. She thought that the snake might bite my husband. She started noticing it carefully and found that it is not a snake, it is a child who has put one toe foot in his mouth and is moving the other. Neema said to her husband in a loud voice, “Look!  A small child is lying on a lotus flower. He should not drown in water.”  While taking a bath, Neeru did not look at him and said Neema!  The desire for children has made you mad. Now you have started seeing children in water as well.
Neema shouted even louder, ‘I am telling the truth, look! There is a child on a lotus flower, look there it is !  Seeing the change in Neema’s voice and more curiosity, Neeru looked towards the direction Neema was pointing at. Seeing a newborn baby on the lotus flower, Neeru, hurriedly picked up the child along with the lotus flower and gave it to his wife.

God Kabir Saheb’s Attainment by Neeru-Neema in The Form of An Infant

Neema hugged infant God Kabir Ji, kissed His face, and loved Him like her own son. The God in search of whom the sages and Saints have done spiritual practice contrary to the scriptures throughout their life but did not attain Him, the same God was playing in the lap of devotee Neema. The peace giving God who is worshiped with the desire to attain His bliss, the same Supreme God (Kabir Saheb) was in Neema’s hands held close to her chest. The peace and joy that Neema was experiencing at that time can only be imagined.

Sage Ashtanand, Eyewitness of the Above Mentioned Incident

What Did Rishi Ashtananda See?

Like every day, on the full moon of Jyeshtha month, Vikrami Samvat 1455 (A.D. 1398), a sage named Ashtanand, disciple of Swami Ramanand ji, went to take a bath in the clean water of Lahartara pond outside Kashi city in Brahm Muhurt. Sage Ashtanand ji took a bath and was trying to become engrossed in meditation. At that very moment he saw a beam of light coming down from the sky. The light was so bright that his eyes could not bear it just as the eyes cannot tolerate sunlight.

Like after seeing the sunlight, when the eyes are closed, the shape of the sun becomes visible, there is not much light in it.  Similarly, seeing the light of the Supreme Lord for the first time, the sage’s eyes were closed and he saw the shape of an Infant. Seeing the Child with closed eyes, the sage opened his eyes again. Sage Ashtanand ji saw that the light had landed on the Lahartara pond, due to which the whole lake was illuminated and after a while that light was confined to a corner of the reservoir.

12 February 2022 Kabir Saheb Prasthan Diwas | Kabir Saheb’s Departure To Satlok (Maghar Leela)

Kabir Saheb Prasthan Diwas (Maghar Leela):
 God Kabir went to Maghar in His final times from where He departed in His Body to Satlok on the Ekadashi of Shukl Paksha in the Magh month of Hindu calendar in 1575 Vikrami Samvat (1518 A.D.) in the presence of Bijali Khan Pathan, Bir Singh Baghel, and other followers. Both Hindus and Muslims wanted to do His final rites according to their religious tradition to which God Kabir denied since He did not want communalism to dominate as we are all His children.

When they came back, both the kings started arguing as to who would take the dead body for final rites. Kabir Saheb got angry with this and told them that no one will fight for His dead body as they would not find one. To resolve the issue, Kabir Saheb asked for two sheets of cloth. He spread one of them on the floor and layed down on it while He used the other to cover Himself. He instructed both the kings to divide whatever they got in between these sheets into equal parts and use them for cremation as per their individual traditions.

Kabir Saheb Prasthan Diwas (Maghar Leela) | No Dead Body but Only Fragrant Flowers Found

When Kabir Saheb left this planet and ascended back to satlok He made an ether announcement stating that He is going to Satlok which is far beyond heaven and that there is no body between those sheets. People saw a bright effulgent body of Kabir Saheb ascending into the sky. When they opened the sheet all they found was a bunch of fragrant flowers in the shape of Kabir Sahib’s body. Kabir Saheb went back to Satlok along with His body.

No Dead Body but Only Fragrant Flowers Found
  • When Kabir Saheb left this universe, everyone present there cried bitterly as if they had lost a parent. Both the kings divided those flowers and a sheet each and cremated as per their religious beliefs. Memorial tombs stand there today for both Hindus and Muslims just 100 meters away from each other.
  • Bir Singh Baghel took a few of those flowers to Kashi and made a tombstone for Kabir Saheb’s memory in Kashi as well.

This is how Kabir Saheb left this place. He did not die as such… He simply left. This event proves that He was not a normal human being but the Supreme Almighty Himself.
